The Trouée d'Arenberg (or Tranchée de Wallers-Arenberg), also known by its true name: the Drève des Boules d'Hérin. The Tranchée d'Arenberg made its Paris-Roubaix debut in 1967, following the proposal made by Jean Stablinski and Edouard Delberghe to Jacques Goddet (Tour de France director between 1936 and 1987).
The Tranchée d'Arenberg is one of the most fabled sectors in the Nord. It is completely straight and crosses the National Forest of Raismes-Saint-Amand-Wallers.
